Monthly Time Commitment: 2-4 hours
Foundry's Racial Justice Ministry Team supports and helps equip the Foundry UMC community to build awareness around racial inequalities, and opt in to active dialogue and action towards racial justice.Foundry’s Racial Justice Ministry Team has four primary ways to engage: (1) Use worship as an awareness raising space; (2) Hold on-site discussions and activities to support deeper learning; (3) Build skills that support community action; and (4) Collaborate with Foundry’s other ministry teams, including Sacred Resistance, other churches and faith communities, and local organizations. We leverage the resources in our community for each of the above engagement areas. We do this through both leading and facilitating programs led by other community members.
